Yesterday (14/3) we had a pretty hands on day at horticulture,
When i arrived the class had started to make compost bins, joining 4 pieces of wood in a square and stacking 4 of them on top of each other to make big compost bins, the class had already planned to all go to the quarry to collect rocks for our Japanese garden but since me and Savou came late we couldnt all get in the van so Savou, Tia, Elisha, and i stayed back while the rest of the class went to get rocks and finished the compost bins. They brought back 1.7tonnes of rock from the quarry and Cory hosed all the crap off them on the trailer, so when i sat on the side of the trailer i was covered in shit. When the rocks were all hosed we did wheel barrow trips from the trailer to the Japanese Garden in the L Block. The big rocks that couldnt be lifted into the wheel barrow were put onto those box carrier trolley things. After lunch Jenae, Savou, Elisha, Cory, Jai, Dakota and I went to the quarry. It's the deeper than the sea, it was mean, looks like our rusty version of the grand canyon

Then the plastic was layed over top of the wet news paper and the little rocks were put around the outside of the pond to hold down the plastic and also for decoration. We put stepping stones in the pond too.
