Meat Pie

I wasnt in cookery last week so im doing a similar pie and the steps involved to making that.

Meat Pie

If i were to make this, the first thing i would need to do would be heat the oil in the sauce pan and fry chopped onison at medium heat for 3-4 minutes, then i would add ground beef and stirr that all together for about 4 minutes untill the meat turns brown. While i was doing that i could also mix the beef stock (1tlbs) and corn starch (1tlbs) in a bowl. Then i would add the remaining beef stock with the Wocestershire sauce, tomato paste and vegemite to the beef. I would then add the cornstarch mix and bring to boil when i would then reduce the flame and let the hole thing simmer for roughly ten minutes. My oven would be preheated to 220 degrees. I would fill the pastry with the mixture and shape the pie then put it in the oven once it was heated.

Week 17 of Carpentry

I wasnt involved in any of the tasks for this week at carpentry but 99% of the sheds roof was put on on Tuesday and i heard some things about how scary it was to stand on the things that lifted you up to the roofs height. On Thursday the class had a catch up day, except some of the students made doors for the tool shed.

Three Tasks

In this picture Butch and Jamie were explaining to us where the sides and corners of the shed were going to be with the pieces of wood for temporary corners. The string was to make sure the sides and corners were all 90 degree angels and level with the rest of the string so the shed didnt end up on a lean.

This is Jesse and Jamie starting to dig the trenches which were going to be filled with concrete later on. We used pieces of wood to mark out where needed to be dug. The trenches were as wide as shovel width and as deep as the shovel depth too. They were as long as the string we had used to level where the shed would be in the picture before this one.

In this pictures the trenches had been dug and we put barriers up to
hold the placing of where the  cement would go to set as the concrete. The cement was being used to set for the base of the shed as we couldnt put the wood straight on the ground. The barriers were built with everyones hel[p, two at a time putting up the walls, one holding planks and one hammering nails.

How successful was my army tank

My army tank was successful and looked and rolled like a army tank, even though i thought it should have had tracks instead of wheels. The machine gun went well and looked good. If i were to do it again i would sand the wheels better and more evenly so the tank kinda flowed a bit more. The time period i had fitted with making a tank because i did it in the rest of the day i had left. The group was very successful making the toys. Some of us made more than one.

Toys

I made a army tank, using a block of wood for the base, i shaped it untill it looked like a army tank, they had a circle piece of wood with a long sort of cylander coming out of the side for the machine gun. i cut out four circles for the weels, i didnt actually cut them. I used a machine that punches the hole out of the wood. It took me two hours to make and is yet to be painted.
